Qualifications and Experience
Dr. Oden is a Postdoctoral Resident at Hoover & Associates. She earned the Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Walden University and M.S. in Applied Psychology from Walden University. Dr. Oden earned the M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and the B.S. in Individual and Family Studies, Purdue University.
Dr. Oden completed the predoctoral internship at Chicago Christian Counseling Center in Orland Park, Illinois and Schererville, Indiana where she provided psychological assessments and individual, couples, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Oden completed the therapy practicum externship at Trinity Services, Inc. Behavioral Health Department in Joliet, Illinois and New Lenox, Illinois. While at Trinity Services, Inc., she served adults with mental illness and mild intellectual disability in individual, group, and milieu therapy. She has acquired training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). Dr. Oden is supervised by Dr. Sandra Kasprzyk, R.N., Psy.D. Licensed Clinical Psychologist.
